seeds.  this is where i put pix of stuff i have seeds for.  they are free but i would like you to pay the postage.  paypal drakekoefoed@yahoo.com  I am always looking for flowers that can live here.  many do not like they gypsum water from the seymour aquifer here near ablilene tx climate zone 7b.  Also bulk seed for radish or turnip if you get them in farm quantities.

seeds in packet type quantities can usually go as non machineable.  they are supposed to still be flat and less than 1/4".  people put thin foam around the seeds in plastic bags.  padded mailers are good for larger quantities and i have used ones, so.

Texas native sunflowers.  These are about 8' high.  they come up well wild when the spring rains are good.  They self sow, but the best way would be disc the weeds in feb, disc again in march and scatter the seeds.  the chaff will not hurt, but watch where the dark seeds are landing not the light chaff.  i do not separate for fear of losing seeds.  No need to thin.  if you can mow above them when they are little and get rid of some tall weeds, that's good.  else hand pull the big stuff like careless weed, giant milkweed.  That's coastal bermudagrass around them.  so you can see they are tough.

Juan canary melon.  kind of like a honeydew.  culture article not by me

mine did not like gypsum water but did well with rain near abilene tx, so you can look at summer 2019 rainfall and that was enough.  most city water will be fine, so soak deep right where they are, and use whatever mulch you get free or cheap.  tree service chippings are generally good and you can get dump trucks of them free sometimes.  To make compost heat, use nitrogen like urea.  triple 13 would be good because the mulch would take the stuff in, making it more like organic.  sawdust horse bedding is real good but must compost or get free hay.  I have one 12" one worth of grocery store seeds.  I can give you a small pack, please pay for a stamp.

Native Larkspur.  I did not collect seeds summer of 2021.  they should volunteer, so i will be able to gather some around june 2022.  these are nothing like the ones in the seed packets.  much more rugged.  I will be able to save a few for you at least.  I also need to get some for my own stuff, but i expect to have a good lot.  I will get you at least a pinch of maybe 100 seed, which i plant in fall, after ripping up the ground surface if nothing but weeds have stood there.  they emerge around christmas, and then i set my mower all the way up where i always have it, and go right over them when they are too short to be hit, which slows down the taller weeds.  hand pull the worst weeds in damp ground in spring, flood water on the ground for larkspur.  moderate water needs.  humming birds and hummingbird moths like them
